About Paradise Pets
Paradise Pets was started in 2017 as a mobile grooming salon. Within months it was a full time job and soon thereafter grooming helpers were being employed and things kept snowballing from there. In 2019 Paradise Pets expanded into the state of the art Doggy Daycare and Grooming Centre that it is today with an amazing team of qualified and caring staff that are passionate about loving dogs and giving them best possible care.

Since opening the daycare and salon premises in 2019, there have been continuous re-models and expansions - constantly improving and innovating our space to be the best it can be for the dogs.

Our Wonderful Team
We are a tight knit family of dog lovers who always aim to do what's best for the dogs. We don't take ourselves too seriously, we love to have a laugh, we love to listen to music, and we love to care for dogs. Our days are filled with slobbery kisses, hairy clothes, fetch, cuddles, birthday paw-ties and so so so much love from the dogs.
Danni
Danni is a local animal lover and experienced professional in the pet care industry. She has spent years working in pet stores, kennels, and grooming salons, gaining extensive knowledge and hands-on experience. She has a soft spot for nervous dogs and those needing extra care, always ensuring they feel safe, loved, and understood. Surrounded by animals at home, she has a pug, a French bulldog, five horses, and a cat—so caring for pets comes naturally to her! She adores how affectionate and loving dogs are, making every day in the salon or daycare even more rewarding. When she’s not at work, Danni enjoys horse riding, dining out, and, most of all, spending time with her kids.
Monique
Meet Monique, our incredible all-rounder at Paradise Pets! As a Whitianga local, she has always been surrounded by dogs and understands just how much joy and companionship they bring. She has two adopted pups, and knows firsthand the love, care, responsability and adventure that come with having dogs. No matter what kind of day you’ve had, dogs always greet you with a smile, and that’s one of the many reasons Monique is so passionate about working with them. Her focus is on making every dog feel safe, comfortable, and right at home, creating a strong bond with each furry guest. When she’s not at work, you can find her running, knitting, and embracing the outdoors!
Irene
Irene is our passionate and caring main daycare supervisor and receptionist. Originally hailing from the vibrant city of Barcelona, Irene's journey with dogs began through her volunteer work with dogs in need, where she discovered her profound love and dedication to their well-being. She goes above and beyond to create a safe and comfortable environment for all our doggie guests. Her years of experience, coupled with her ability to understand the needs of each dog, makes every dog feels like a cherished member of the pack. When she's not caring for our furry friends, Irene indulges her love for nature biking through the picturesque landscapes and spending quality time at the beach.
Community
Paradise Pets likes to give back to the Community! We love our little town and its people and we are so grateful to have such a wonderful clientele and supportive following. We have thought of a few different ways that we can give back to the community and offer our support in return. Aside from donating towards local fundraising causes and organising occasional bake sales for the SPCA we support our community in the following ways:
